UAAP Season 81: NU vs FEU, ADMU vs DLSU – and Its Implications on UP’s Final 4 Chances

UAAP Season 81 is probably one of the most unpredictable seasons in the recent years.

With just three playdates left in the eliminations, everyone’s at the edge of their seats trying to piece together the best possible scenarios for their bets.

For the UP Fighting Maroons, today’s games will be very important, even without them playing any of it.

NU Bulldogs vs FEU Tamaraws

An NU win can give the Fighting Maroons a breather. All UP needs to do is to win their game on Wednesday against the DLSU Green Archers. Losing it would give them an automatic playoffs spot, in case FEU wins over Adamson on November 18th.

An NU loss sends pressure for UP to win their game on Wednesday vs DLSU as they will tie FEU, 7-6. A win by UP over DLSU gives them an automatic playoff spot, in case FEU wins over Adamson. Both teams will end up with 8-6 after the eliminations.

*Only NU and UP will benefit if NU wins today.

UPDATED: FEU won over NU, 79-74. They are tied with UP at 7-6. Game on Wednesday becomes a must-win for the Maroons. Winning the game will automatically earn them at least playoffs spot.

DLSU Green Archers vs Ateneo Blue Eagles

Ateneo winning this match would send DLSU to their second straight loss, putting them at 8-5. Their game vs UP will be a virtual battle for third seed, and will determine who gets to go to the playoffs. It will be tough for the Fighting Maroons with DLSU coming off a loss, they’ll probably be charged as hell for a comeback.

DLSU winning the match will cement their spot in third place. UP has to win its game vs DLSU on Wednesday and hope that FEU loses one of its remaining games (vs NU, ADU), to earn an automatic playoff sspot.

*Adamson, FEU and UP all are probably hoping that DLSU loses to ADMU today.
