The UP Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams are coming into UAAP Season 86 with one word in mind – REDEMPTION.
For the Men’s Team, it is redemption by getting back the crown to Diliman. Coming off a runner-up finish last season, the team is fired up to claim the title back but it will not come easy. The team will be led by the returning captain CJ Cansino with only 7 other holdovers and 9 new players.
For the Women’s Team, it is redemption by getting back into the Final Four. The team nearly missed the Final Four last season, finishing in 5th place. The team will be led by team captain and S80 Rookie of the Year Justine Domingo and will be reinforced by a new FSA Favour Onoh and a national team player – rookie Louna Ozar.
Both teams are hungry for success. Fueled by passion, both teams are fired up and ready for the season for redemption.
